$2.92m Lamborghini becomes world's most expensive supercar... but it's too fast to be legally driven on U.S. roads

For almost a decade the Bugatti Veyron has been known for its excessive speed and extortionate price tag.
But now it seems that the German designed supercar has been ousted by Lamborghini's latest creation.
Priced at $2.92million the Italian Sesto Elemento is $280,090 pricier than its closest rival, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
The only catch is that the vehicle can't be driven on U.S. roads as it does not meet the safety specifications required to make it legal.

One car enthusiast, Bomb Blogged: 'Whatever your take on this car I think it's a major disappointment that it isn't going to be road legal.'
First premièred as a concept car at the Paris motor show last October Lamborghini's bosses have now given limited production the go-ahead.
Sporting a revolutionary design, the chassis is made almost entirely from carbon fibre - hence the name which translates as 'sixth element', the atomic number for carbon.
It can accelerate from 0-62mph in less than 2.5 seconds and boasts a top speed of more than 200mph.
Mark Tisshaw from Autocar, said: 'The Sesto Elemento is a fantastic technical showcase and it's going to cost an awful lot of money, but Lamborghini will have no shortage of interest.'

However the supercar can't be driven in public as to achieve such high speeds, Lamborghini have bypassed the normal measures required to make it road legal, reserving it as a millionaire's track toy.
Power will be delivered by a highly-tuned 5.2-litre V10 engine which will develop about 600bhp in a car which weighs less than one tonne.
This makes it 1,210lbs less than a Lamborghini Gallardo and 1,870lbs less than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
The chassis, body, driveshaft and suspension components are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), a material that the Italian firm has been refining with other companies, including Boeing.
Engineering chief Maurizio ReggianiIn told Autocar: 'The structure of this car is at the centre of its function.

'It represents a revolutionary way of building a car. This method is a true breakthrough, and we are extremely excited about what it means for our future.'
In addition to the cutting-edge design the tailpipes are made from Pyrosic, a glass and ceramic composite that can withstand temperatures of up to 900 degrees celsius.
Just 20 of the cars will be built and it's unlikely they'll have any problem selling them.
When the Italian car maker announced plans to build its $1.65million Reventon concept in 2007, they sold the 35-strong batch in less than one week.
CEO Stephan Winkelmann added: 'Every future Lamborghini will be touched by the spirit of Sesto Elemento.'

New Apple CEO Tim Cook: ‘I’m Thinking Printers’

Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple and serves on its Board of Directors.
Before being named CEO in August 2011, Tim was Apple‘s Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for all of the company’s worldwide sales and operations, including end-to-end management of Apple’s supply chain, sales activities, and service and support in all markets and countries. He also headed Apple’s Macintosh division and played a key role in the continued development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.
Prior to joining Apple, Tim was vice president of Corporate Materials for Compaq and was responsible for procuring and managing all of Compaq’s product inventory. Previous to his work at Compaq, Tim was the chief operating officer of the Reseller Division at Intelligent Electronics.
Tim also spent 12 years with IBM, most recently as director of North American Fulfillment where he led manufacturing and distribution functions for IBM’s Personal Computer Company in North and Latin America.
Tim earned an M.B.A. from Duke University, where he was a Fuqua Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University.
New Apple CEO Tim Cook called a meeting of shareholders and members of the press Thursday morning to announce that he envisioned printers as the company’s future. “Laser, ink-jet, double-sided, color, black-and-white—the future of technology is in printers. I am absolutely convinced of that,”
Cook explained to a packed auditorium as a montage of printers and people using printers played on a screen behind him. “What is the one thing people will always need? It’s obvious: printers. Printers with fax machines attached, printers that collate and staple, perhaps a printer that makes photocopies. Anything’s possible. It’s called innovation.” Cook concluded his remarks by assuring investors the release of upcoming Apple products such as the iPhone 5 would be postponed for at least four years so the company could throw all its time and resources into the creation of high-quality printers for the home and office.

Samsung to revise their device naming system for 2011

With the Nokia 500 being the first of Nokia's devices to follow their newest form of naming classification, now it appears that Samsung have seen fit to devise a new naming format of their own.
The fundamental name changes are as follows based on variations amongst the 'Wave', 'Omnia' and 'Galaxy' category devices. Each set of devices will be subject to grading, with the letters,'S', 'R', 'W', 'M' and 'Y'. The 'S' class being Samsung's crème de la crème, pretty much in line with how we see it now, any 'S' phone will effectively qualify as a flagship or the top device available within that category of device.
It's important to add at this stage that each class of devices is also intended for a different price bracket and as a means of remembering the classes you can see which ones are likely to fetch more by words relating to the letter.
What that breaks down as is that after the 'S' class, comes the 'R' class, expected to be associated with words like 'Royal' or 'Refined', prices for devices in the range would be between €300 and €400. 'W' ties to the word 'Wonder' and fits the more middle of the road devices with prices between €200 and €300. Then we hit 'M', which stands for 'Magical', these mid-tier devices will retail between €130 and €200, and the final category is of course 'Y', which you should think of as 'young-minded'. These will be the entry level smartphones coming in at the €130 mark, tops.
The system also has one more set of variables to add to the mix, but stick with us. These new letters will sometimes be followed by the words 'Plus', 'Pro' or 'LTE'. 'Plus', as seen on the Galaxy S Plus, would promise enhanced attributes compared to it predecessor, or similar devices in it's class, but not enough to qualify for a device all their own.
The 'pro' devices, much like Sony Ericsson handsets, will guarantee the presence of a hardware keyboard, and the final extension is 'LTE', fairly self-explanatory with any devices following this convention, able to work on the 4G network.
It seems a simple and logical rethink and one that we can work with, what do you think, post your thoughts in the comments below.
